Managing
Your Email Do you find yourself overwhelmed with email? There have been times when it took me all day to go through my email until I learned a few tricks. I found that a lot of the email I received was spam. Using filters hasn't worked well for me. I found that many times I wasn't receiving my legitimate email, yet I would continue to receive messages I didn't want. I receive no less than 800-1000 messages on any given day. It doesn't take me long to go through my email each day. Here's what I do to manage my email: First of all, I use one main email address that I give to clients and associates which is different than the one I use for ordering online, etc. This is the account I have running in my email program during the day. I have another email address that I use for family and newsletters. Every morning I check my mail via webmail. I have my webmail set to show me 100 messages at a time and it is sorted by Subject. I use the Select All feature and scan the messages for legitimate ones which I forward to my main email account. With a click of a button I can delete the selected messages and go to the next 100. In a few minutes I have deleted hundreds of messages. Since most of the spam messages have the same Subject line, they are all grouped together and I can delete them all at once. I do get a small amount of unwanted email in my main account, but not enough to take away from my productivity. With two main accounts, one for business and one for family and newsletters, I can check my 'work' account when I am working and my 'other' account at my leisure. My email program allows me to have multiple users so I can switch back and forth between them if I so choose. If you do not have access to webmail, you can still sort your messages according to Subject and delete a whole block at a time. This really cuts down on the time involved in going through all of those messages you really don't want. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Pam Jones specializes in offering quality information and services that will keep you on the right track with your online marketing to help you increase your profits.
